Jason built our house about four years ago and it was his first house “out working on his own”. He was completely organised and he made sure the other tradesmen he used were efficient as well. His workmanship was of a very high standard, everything was done correctly and on time. The materials he used were of high quality too. We didn’t have any problems during the construction period, and we didn’t have to “get him back” to fix anything afterwards – even though he was more than willing to if needed. We would definitely use Jason again and would highly recommend him to anyone else – because you know you will get a top quality home.

My wife Julie and I requested a quotation from Jason Wescott (one of three potential building contractors) for the completion of a major extension to our home at 27 Lucan Street in March 2009.
I make the following comments about that undertaking.
PREPARATORY STAGE
Jason provided professional help with fine tuning our concept plan. He made constructive suggestions and modifications which helped us to achieve a workable design. Throughout this process he remained respectful of our wishes and encouraged our sense of ownership in the finished plan.
His quotation was very professionally prepared. He explained his quotation in person and there remained no ambiguity about what he was to provide, the timeframe for the work and the cost of the finished product. His quotation was very thorough and competitive.
He provided valuable advice and intervention where necessary to help us gain planning and building approval.
CONSTRUCTION
Jason introduced his crew in person. Most days he was available in person for at least part of the day, giving us the confidence that work was supervised professionally. He and his crew were always respectful of our property and our circumstances. As we resided at the site during construction, his consideration and suggestions made our experience more tolerable. On one occasion when inclement weather caused a problem for us he went the extra yard to help us to secure the home and ensure our comfort.
He and his crew attended punctually and reliably. They also remained respectful of our neighbours and minimised disruption for them during construction. All dealings with trade subcontractors proceeded smoothly and all work was done on time as scheduled and required.
COMPLETION
At completion Jason and his crew carefully cleaned the building site. Jason inspected the finished product with us. We are satisfied that our extension is of the highest quality. Both Julie and I are professional people and as such we are prepared to be assertive when we believe that we get less then what was negotiated. In this case we are satisfied that the quality of the extension, and the process of construction met all our expectations.
We are grateful to Jason and his crew for their friendly, helpful manner and for the professionalism they showed. We are pleased to be able to recommend them to anyone considering a similar, moderate to large extension.
